Smoketown Mill

James and Deborah Gibbons built the first mill here in 1770. It was Bushong’s Mill during the mid to late 19th century. Clarence Nolt acquired the property in 1949. His son, James (Jim), took over in 1982 and ran the mill until its closing in 2004. It served as an art gallery for a few years and now is vacant.
