Aka Penrose Mill
George McCullough built the first mill here circa 1743. Israel Penrose became the owneer in 1827. Joseph Penrose built the current structure in 1842. The mill became Hess’s mill when John “Jack” Hess acquired the property in 1882.
The mill is located at 1699 Furniss Road, Drumore, PA.
