Aka Good’s/Hess’s Mill

Casper Shirk built the first mill on this site in 1737. Isaac Heiney built a new brick mill in 1814. It was destroyed by fire in 1871, rebuilt, and destroyed by fire again around 1900. This earned it the nickname “Burnt Mill”.
Today it has been converted into apartments.
This mill is located at 224 Silver Mine Road, Conestoga, PA.
