AKA Risser’s Mill

The first mill on this site was built by James Rhoddy in 1722 making it the first recorded mill on the Chiques Creek. John Houtz built the current structure in 1804. It became Risser’s mill in 1818 when Jacob Risser purchased the property. Milling operations ended in 1922 and the building is being used for storage.
