Aka Bechtel’s Mill

Samuel Harnish built an oil mill here in 1777. It was rebuilt as a grist mill in 1840. Operations closed in 1930. In 1992, Ned and Gwen Foltz renovated the mill into a home. Ned Foltz was a former art teacher and is a well-known artist and maker of pottery. The mill was featured in the November 1995 edition of Country Living Magazine. The Foltz’s sold the mill to new owners in 2023. The mill has been renovated into an Air B&B.
