Goshen Mill

Goshen Mill

Joshua and Walter Denny built the first mill here in 1741. Joshua Brown became the owner in 1758 and it remained in the Brown family for several generations. It became the Ambler mill when Edward Ambler acquired the property in 1877. Joseph Penrose Ambler built the current frame structure in 1895 after a fire destroyed the previous building. The Goshen Mill is the only remaining mill on the Conowingo Creek. The water power was replaced by electricity in 1930 and operated as a feed mill as late as 1962.

The mill is located at 888 Goshen Mill Road, Peach Bottom, PA.
