Aka Binkley’s Mill

The Galen Hall mill is the smallest mill in Lancaster County. But because of its classic external overshot wheel and sluice, it was chosen as a model for an exhibit at the Chicago World’s Fair in 1893. John Binkley built the first mill on this location in about 1755. It later served as a fulling mill and as a chopping mill. John Lengel built the current frame mill i 1910. Milling operations ended in 1940.
